With Gratitude We Say Farewell to The Society Boutique

After 65 years of service, The Society Boutique has announced that it will close its doors for the last time on Friday, December 16.

Despite many years of successful operations, the business model of running a brick-and-mortar thrift shop is no longer financially viable for The Society. Moving forward, The Society will allocate its resources toward its main fundraising events, including The Opening Night of TEFAF New York Fall, an art fair; the Associates Fall Party; the Winter Lunch; the Bunny Hop; the Spring Ball; and Miracle on Madison. Through these dedicated fundraising efforts, The Society will continue to provide vital support for numerous patient care, research and education programs at MSK.

For decades, The Boutique has played a significant role in MSK’s history, and the success of many of its patient care programs.  Over the years, hundreds of volunteers have contributed their time and energy to the Boutique’s mission and many employees have donated goods for resale in the store. Volunteers and donors alike have all been an integral part of the Boutique and their service and generosity are greatly appreciated.

The Society thanks the staff, volunteers, donors and customers of The Society Boutique. Please take a moment to learn about the history of The Society Boutique and view photos.
